Cheap New York Hotels

If the concept that a hotel room is meant for a short, comfortable stay in clean and safe settings, but without trimmings is acceptable, New York has several low priced facilities available. They are sometimes labeled as inns or hostels.

These so called 'cheap' hotels offer basic amenities like concierge, AC, TV, non smoking rooms, in room alarm clock, hairdryer, laundry, iron and ironing board, safe deposit box, shared bathrooms and parking at cost. Some have maid service, room service and even

disabled facilities. Many may not have in house restaurants, but there are always restaurants close by.

For example, the SoHotel located on Broome Street is one of the oldest hotels in the City. Rooms start at $93 a night and is located in central downtown in the heart of Little Italy and China Town. There are few amenities but each room does have its own bathroom. Art galleries, museums, theaters, shops, theaters, nightclubs and trendy restaurants, surround the area.

The Union Square Inn is also a gem for those looking for a place to stay in the City. This East Village Inn offer 46 clean, simply furnished large rooms and is located at 209 E. 14th Street. This boutique hotel has private, air-conditioned rooms with cable TV, telephones, Internet Access and a complimentary continental breakfast. There is also a fabulous European-style café on the premises. Rooms are available as private single, double queen and deluxe.

The Chelsea Savoy Hotel is another great find located on 204 W 23rd Street in Manhattan. Rooms start at $99 and Chelsea Savoy Hotel. Guestrooms are traditional equipped with telephones, televisions and safes and air conditioning. There is also a free newspaper, refrigerator and iron in each room. Pets are allowed and complimentary coffee is served.
